- Project Gutenberg- this is the oldest digital library. It offers full text for over 28,000 public domain books. The project has expanded to include audio books and sheet music.
- Poets.Org- this is the award-winning web site of the Academy of American Poets. Offerings include thousands of poems, hundreds of poet bios, essays, interviews, and poetry recordings. Other items of note are the National Poetry Map, an events calendar and lessons plans for teachers.
